1. Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet regional sales targets.
- Create short- and long-term sales plans that align with Mapei's overall business goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and market segments within the region.
2. Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of sales representatives or account managers in the assigned region.
- Provide coaching, support, and development opportunities for sales team members.
- Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members.
- Monitor performance and provide regular feedback.
3. Customer Relationships:
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key accounts, distributors, and partners.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams (technical, marketing, logistics, etc.).
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new customers and markets for Mapei products.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and distributors to grow market share in the region.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote Mapei’s products.
5. Product Knowledge & Training:
- Stay updated on Mapei’s product lines and new product developments.
- Conduct training sessions for the sales team and customers on product features and benefits.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure solutions align with customer needs.
6. Reporting & Analysis:
- Monitor sales performance through reports, KPIs, and metrics.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on sales forecasts, performance, and market trends.
- Analyze competitor activities and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
7. Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work closely with marketing to ensure alignment between sales campaigns and product promotion efforts.
- Coordinate with logistics and production to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Liaise with R&D and technical support to address specific customer needs or product issues.
8. Budgeting & Financial Oversight:
- Manage the regional sales budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Ensure that all sales activities comply with corporate financial policies and procedures.
This role requires strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, along with a deep understanding of the construction or building materials industry.
