ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Conduct daily reliability test data analysis and reporting, including failure analysis (FA) for abnormal data
• Study and optimize test criteria based on product design
• Oversee machine/tooling buy-off, standardization, tool maintenance, and spare parts management.
• Tool optimization and new tool preparation to meet new product/technology requirements.
• Collaborate with the worldwide team to ensure consistent testing correlation

As a Quality Control Section Engineer at OCIM SDN BHD, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will lead quality control efforts, develop and implement procedures, and work closely with production teams to drive continuous improvement in quality.

• Develop and implement quality control processes and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections to monitor adherence to quality standards throughout the production process.
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive corrective actions.
• Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations and requirements.
• Provide training and support for employees on quality control best practices and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of quality inspection results and prepare reports for management review.
• Assist in the management of non-conformance reports and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and quality control methodologies.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, or other quality improvement methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.

Job Responsibilities

• Hourly Checks: Inspect products with microscope every hour to make sure they are good quality.
• Measure Parts: Measure and record sizes of molded items
• Record Results: Write down inspection results and enter data into records
• Accept or Reject Items: Decide if finished items meet quality standards.
• Report Issues: Create reports for defected products that need to be fixed or thrown away.
• Report Problems: Tell the Quality Engineer/Manager about any quality issues.

• Maintain Tools: Make sure measuring tools are working and properly calibrated

Responsibilities/ Key Activities:

• Making sure the ingredients used is on-going maintained Halal status by maintaining valid Halal certificates from suppliers.
• Uphold plant Halal practices.
• Conduct periodic Halal Committee meeting.
• Conduct periodic Halal checks at the shopfloor and related facilities.
• Connect with Jabatan Agama Islam for Halal renewal and consultation matters.
• Make timely Halal certificate renewal.
• Maintain and implement HAS Manual requirement for Johor MU.
• Support NPD and substitution ingredients Halal certificate applications
• Support any Halal requirement by customer.
• Involve new product regulatory and existing ingredients, semi FG and FG specification compliance check on periodic basis

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluates QA requirements for complex and multiple projects, directing workstream QA leads and architects to define the test strategy for each.
• Manages multiple workstreams or projects of QA work, ensuring that QA leads observe standard process, planning, dependency management and communication to the business.
• Manages the implementation and use of various types of testing cycle:

• Functional testing
• Integration testing
• Non-functional testing
• Performance testing
• Systems testing etc

• Develops master test / implementation plans across workstreams / projects and provides coordination across teams and sites where applicable.
• Manages the creation, deployment, and strategic use of department test environments. 
• Supports QA management on special projects and proposals.
• Provides line management where necessary for team of QA assigned to project, including objective setting, development and appraisal of those people.
• Assists in recruitment of high calibre team members.
• Owns own development to maintain technology expertise, keeping current with evolving quality testing techniques.
